In 2013, Gloucestershire Against Badger Shooting established a network of Wounded Badger Patrols that, during the last three years, walked the footpaths day and night on the lookout for wounded badgers. In the same year, Somerset Against the Badger Cull set up and operated badger patrols whose primary purpose is to monitor activities before, during and after the cull. In 2015, Dorset for Badger and Bovine Welfare followed suit.
