Sample response to consultation

Killing badgers in my county – or in my own immediate neighbourhood – will adversely affect my livelihood. My happiness and well-being depends on living in a democratic society where policy is evidence-based. I want to live alongside wildlife-friendly farming practices.

I enjoy interacting with badgers and have done for years. They are part and parcel of my every day life. The fact that they could be killed to satisfy the prejudice of a few is almost more than I can bear.

The evidence is abundantly clear; the badger kill policy implemented by the Tory Party is based on nothing more than short-sighted political expediency.  It is the 21st century – the Age of Enlightenment – not the Dark Ages.
